Actualizado: jul 9

5 tips for gaining Fluency in english faster.

Actively take notes on new vocabulary.

Don't rely on your memory to remember words. Even if you have a very good memory, learning a new language requires way too many new words and rules. Write down what you’re learning!

Add English to your newsfeed

Do you have any english speaking friends on social media? Don't just scroll past their posts. Every time you see an english speaker on your feed, take it as an opportunity to Practice a bit of english. Try and look for any links or articles they share and read through them. You may familiarize yourself with a lot of slang looking at how they write in their posts, and even their friends responses.

Listen to music

Understanding music is one of the most challenging parts of learning a language, so it may seem daunting. You can make it much easier for yourself by searching for the lyrics and memorizing the songs you want to listen to in english. This way, you will be able to recognize the lyrics when you listen to the song, and any new words you learn will likely be memorized.

Turn your subtitles to English

The better option by far is to watch shows you are already familiar with in english, however sometimes we want to return to watching our favorite shows in our native language. If you aren't in the mood to study, having subtitles on english will help you to see new words and direct translations.

Incorporate your interests into your studies

We all can feel burned out after a while of studying, especially if we feel like the process of learning a new language is going too slow. Instead of constantly trying to memorize vocab, and studying grammar, try and add in some things you like to learn about outside of language. For example, if you like to cook, follow a recipe in English.
